6: DETERMINATION OF TENANCIES

19 Determination of tenancies of allotment gardens

Where land is let for use by a tenant as an allotment garden1, or is let to any local authority or association for the purpose of being sublet for such use2, the power of the landlord3 to determine the tenancy of the land by notice to quit or re-entry is restricted, notwithstanding any agreement to the contrary4.

The only ways in which the tenancy may be determined by notice to quit or re-entry are:

        by 12 months’ or longer notice to quit expiring on or before 6 April or on
