It is extremely important that although the farmer does not provide labour and machinery, he does in fact provide and pay for the variable inputs in respect of the crops and that there is no doubt therefore that the seeds, fertilisers, sprays and so on, once purchased, and the crops in the ground, are and remain the property of the farmer at all times.
