84.2 Agreements to grow crops

The contracting agreements in this section1 are examples of contracting agreements by the terms of which the contractor agrees to carry out all tasks necessary to establish and bring to harvest certain specified crops and to secure the relevant farm subsidies but purely as an independent contractor hired by the farmer who remains in sole and exclusive possession of the land and the crops. The agreements cater for a landowner who wishes to remain in entire control of his farming business, but who is unable or unwilling to provide the machinery and labour to undertake
