58 The Basic Payment Scheme application in the year of the transfer

If a farmer submits a claim under the Basic Payment Scheme and then transfers the whole or part of his holding to a third party, who is not a claimant in that year under the Basic Payment Scheme, the transferor will remain responsible for ensuring that the cross-compliance and other rules of the scheme are met on the land, even after the transfer.
