275 Duration of agreements

Most English Woodland Grant Scheme (EWGS) agreements run for a period of five years. However, there are ongoing obligations in respect of some elements of grant aid to maintain the woodland in accordance with specified criteria beyond that date. For example, grant aid for new planting is subject to the condition that the planting is maintained to the Forestry Commission’s reasonable satisfaction for ten years after planting1.
