274 Felling licences

A proposal under the English Woodland Grant Scheme often included some element of felling. In such cases the contract gives consent to that felling (as appropriate) and no separate felling licence is required in respect of it. Any felling that falls outside the terms of the proposal and contract, however, requires separate consent1. If the proposals affect a tree preservation order or trees in a conservation area, that fact must have been stated within the application in order for the felling licence to apply.
