267 Eligibility

Entry into the higher level stewardship scheme (HLS) was available to farmers and land managers who were either freehold owners, tenants, licensees or graziers with rights over common land. The applicant normally had to be able to show that he would have management control over the land for the full ten year period of the agreement.
