3: ORGANIC ENTRY LEVEL STEWARDSHIP SCHEME

262 Background

The organic entry level stewardship scheme (OELS) is a whole farm scheme similar to the entry level scheme1. It was open to farmers who manage their land organically and are registered with an organic inspection body.

OELS Schemes closed to new applications on 26 September 2014 and no new or replacement OELS agreements have been permitted to start after 1 December 2014. Existing agreements will continue until the end of their term.
