252 Glastir

Glastir is a voluntary five-year whole farm sustainable land management scheme available to farmers and land managers across Wales. It is open to freehold owners, tenants and licensors1.

Its objectives include managing soils, improving water quality, managing water to help reduce flood risks. conserving and enhancing wildlife and biodiversity and managing and protecting landscapes and the historic environment.

Glastir consists of six components:

  1. 252.1

        Glastir Entry: a whole farm land management scheme open to applications from farmers and land managers throughout Wales. It is designed to support the delivery of environmental benefits that meet current challenges and priorities;
