241 Landlords

A landlord can apply under Countryside Stewardship, if he can demonstrate that he has sufficient management control over the land. In this case both he and his tenant must sign the declarations on the application form and the landlord must give his tenant a copy of the Countryside Stewardship agreement and be able to prove this has been done. It is the landlord’s responsibility to make sure that any tenant does not breach the terms of the scheme agreement, so the landlord should impose appropriate obligations within the tenancy agreement1.
