229 Schemes across the United Kingdom

Across the United Kingdom, in conjunction with the introduction of the Basic Payment Scheme and the greening payment in 20151, a new and separate Rural Development Programme (RDP) was implemented for the period 2014–20 in each of the four areas of the United Kingdom: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. These programmes provide a range of measures, including payments to land managers under various agri-environment schemes for taking on a variety of environmental commitments.
