174 Additional protection given to badgers

Specific protection is also given to badgers1. It is an offence wilfully to kill, injure or take a badger or to attempt to do so or to dig for any badger2. It is also an offence cruelly to ill-treat any badger, to use badger tongs in the course of killing or taking any badger or attempting to do so or to use specified fire arms for that purpose3.
