173 Methods of taking or killing deer

The Deer Act 1991 also regulates the way in which deer can be taken or killed1. It is an offence to set a trap, snare or poisoned or stupefying bait which is of such a nature and so placed as to be calculated to cause bodily injury to any deer coming into contact with it; to use for the purposes of killing or taking a deer any trap, snare or poisoned or stupefying bait or any net; or to use for the purposes of injuring, killing or taking a deer a smooth bore
