169 Wild animals

Certain species of wild animals1 are given protection by the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Sections 9–12. It is an offence to intentionally kill, injure or take any wild animal listed in the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Schedule 52. It is also an offence for a person to have in his possession or control any live or dead wild animal included in Schedule 5 save in certain specified circumstances3.
