G: DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND COMMERCIAL RENT ARREARS RECOVERY

64 Statutory arbitration

Provision is made in the Agricultural Tenancies Act 1995 for statutory arbitration in the following circumstances:

  1. 64.1

        The landlord or tenant may by means of a written notice given to the other, require that the rent to be paid after a review date be referred to arbitration1.

  2. 64.2

        Where the landlord has refused or failed to give consent (or attached a condition to his consent) to a tenant’s improvement, the tenant may by written notice demand that the question be referred to arbitration2.
