Service on agents1 is possible in the following circumstances:
a notice to a landlord is properly served if given to an agent or servant who is responsible for the control of the management of the holding;
a notice to a tenant is properly served if given to an agent or servant who is responsible for the carrying on of a business on the holding.
In each case the notice must be served in accordance with one of the methods set out in Paragraph 49 above.
