321 Agreed rents

A landlord and a statutory tenant may fix the rent payable, if any, under a statutory tenancy by an agreement made at any time1. The rent so fixed must not exceed the registered rent for the dwellinghouse or, if no rent is registered, a rent based on the rateable value2.
