1: BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR PROTECTION

303 Employment in agriculture

In order to enjoy the protection of the Rent (Agriculture) Act 1976 a worker must be employed in agriculture as defined in the Act1. ‘Agriculture’ includes:

  1. 303.1

        dairy-farming and livestock2 keeping and breeding (whether those activities involve the use of land or not)3;

  2. 303.2

        the production of any consumable produce4 that is grown for sale or for consumption or other use for the purpose of a trade or business or of any other undertaking (whether carried on for profit or not)5
