219 Consent of landlord

The tenant’s right to compensation in respect of the specified improvements1 is conditional on the previous written consent (whether conditional or otherwise) of the landlord having been obtained to the execution of the improvement2. Where the consent was given on agreed terms as to compensation, that compensation must be substituted for statutory compensation3. Special provisions apply to drainage improvements4.
