19 Contents of the notices

The Agricultural Tenancies Act 1995 requires two notices: one from landlord to tenant and one from tenant to landlord. The notices must be in writing, regardless of whether the tenancy is written or oral. There is no prescribed form for the notices, but each notice must1:

  1. 19.1

        identify by name or otherwise2 the land to be comprised in the tenancy or proposed tenancy; and

  2. 19.2

        contain a statement to the effect that the person giving the notice intends that the tenancy or proposed tenancy is to be, and is to remain,
