157 Exemption from security

A licence or tenancy made, before 1 September 1995, whether expressly or not, in contemplation of the use of the land only for grazing or mowing (or both) during some specified period of the year was not converted1 into a tenancy from year to year conferring security of tenure on the tenant2. A grazing agreement did not merely avoid security of tenure under the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986, but also under the Landlord and Tenant Act 19543.
