153 Fixed term leases for a term of between two and five years1

A tenancy of an agricultural holding for a term of two years or more granted before 1 September 1995, instead of terminating on the term date, continues (as from the term date) as a tenancy from year to year, but otherwise on the terms of the original tenancy, unless it is terminated in accordance with statute2.

It is not possible to contract out of this provision3, although prior to 1 September 1995 it was possible to apply to the Minister4
