139 Time when demand ceases to be effective

139 Time when demand ceases to be effective

A demand for arbitration of rent ceases to be effective on the next termination date following the date of the demand unless, before such termination date:

  1. 139.1

        an arbitrator has been appointed by agreement between the parties1; or

  2. 139.2

        an application has been made to the President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors for the appointment of an arbitrator by him2.
