(a) Meaning of terms

120 Meaning of ‘fixed equipment’

The Agricultural Holdings Act 1986 contains special provisions relating to fixed equipment1.

‘Fixed equipment’ includes any building or structure affixed to land and any works on, in, over or under land, and also includes anything grown on land for a purpose other than use after severance from the land, consumption of the thing grown or of its produce, or amenity, and any reference to fixed equipment on land must be construed accordingly’2.
