83 Buildings, models and other three-dimensional items

Where a three-dimensional item other than a building classes as an ‘artistic work’, and is still in copyright, clearance is generally required for it, or any substantial part of it, to be depicted in a piece of advertising or marketing1. ‘Artistic works’ for these purposes include models for buildings, sculptures and works of ‘artistic craftsmanship’2.
