75 Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004

The Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 20041, which implemented Council Directive (EC) 2002/65 concerning the distance marketing of consumer financial services, introduced for financial services a similar regime to that of the original distance selling directive for goods and services generally2.

The Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004 contain the relevant rules for services not regulated by the Financial Services Authority (‘FSA’) and cover consumer financial services such as second mortgages, unsecured loans not exceeding £25,000, debt management services and credit card services3.
