70 Pre-contract requirements of the Regulations

The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 require that the consumer must be provided with certain information before the conclusion of a distance contract1. The following information must be provided in a clear and comprehensible manner appropriate to the means of distance communication used:

  1. 70.1

        the identity of the supplier and, where the contract requires payment in advance, the supplier’s address;

  2. 70.2

        a description of the main characteristics of the goods or services;

  3. 70.3

        the price of the goods or services including all taxes;

  4. 70.4

        delivery costs where appropriate;

  5. 70.5

        the arrangements for payment,
