About this event

Wherever your organisation is on its AI journey, from early experimentation to enterprise-wide adoption, in-house legal teams are increasingly being asked to do far more than interpret regulation. They are helping shape how AI is adopted across the business, balancing innovation with governance, supporting commercial priorities while managing legal, regulatory and reputational risk, and bringing together stakeholders across legal, technology, security, procurement and the wider business.

As organisations move from asking "Can we use AI?" to "How do we scale AI responsibly?", the challenge shifts from approving individual use cases to embedding consistent governance, enabling innovation, managing organisational change and building trust across the enterprise.

In this practical discussion, we'll explore what effective AI governance looks like in practice, how legal teams can become strategic enablers of AI adoption rather than simply gatekeepers, and the lessons learned from implementing AI across a global organisation.

You'll learn:

  • How legal teams can enable responsible AI adoption while balancing commercial priorities with legal, regulatory and governance risks.
  • Practical approaches to building AI governance frameworks that support innovation and scale across the organisation.
  • How to navigate common organisational challenges, including stakeholder alignment, ownership, employee adoption and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Lessons learned from implementing AI across a global organisation, including what worked, what proved challenging and what others can learn.
  • How the role of the General Counsel and legal function is evolving as AI becomes embedded into everyday business operations.
