Monthly Update: September 2014

Welcome to the Restructuring & Insolvency team’s round-up of updates on recent case law, legislation, news, opinions for September 2014

This month sees a new look for our monthly highlights! This month has been fairly quiet as expected during the court vacation, but the proposed ending of the current exemption for insolvency proceedings from the Jackson reforms has caused quite a stir as have the proposals in the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Bill. We also have an interesting Q&A with Kevin Lyon (an experienced company chairman and non-executive director who frequently takes chief restructuring officer (CRO) appointments) sharing his thoughts on the pivotal role of a CRO in a restructuring. This month we are also giving away free our Practice Note on CROs.
