Leaving the Law To Be A Better Lawyer? Part 3

In this, the third in a series of posts by James Harper who recently took on a secondment away from his role as General Counsel of a FTSE 100 company to manage a team within the organisation's Go-to-Market function, he takes the opportunity to look back at the last few months...

Having now settled into the role a little more, he reflects on some of the early mistakes made (some being the operative word – as he explains "I am sure there’s more I don’t even know yet that I would have done better!").  In particular, he shares how losing sight of some of his existing skills and knowledge made life harder than it needed to be, starting with the art of communication.
