Corporate and Commercial news: Having received Royal Assent, The Consumer Rights Act (CRA) is due to become law in October.  The CRA will replace eight existing consumer laws including the Sale of Goods Act and the Supply of Goods & Services Act.

Data Protection news: The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) will have to amend their practices after the ICO found that they had breached electronic marketing rules.

Competition news: The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has issued two new guides.  One of the guides concerns how company secretaries should comply with competition law when fulfilling corporate responsibilities.
