Among the legal community there is constant talk of technology. Whether it’s the fear of new legal tech or how you should be using it to enhance your firm, it’s clear that the ever-evolving world of technology is something lawyers need to tackle.
When looking at some of the potential advantages of new technologies one of the most beneficial that comes to mind is streamlining your work flow, such as enabling access to the multitude of legal forms you need through your firm’s case management system (CMS). Practitioners are time poor and need to be more efficient. Finding the forms needed can be very time consuming and you can’t always be sure the forms you find are the most up to date.
In a new, unique partnership, LexisNexis and leading UK case management software, Osprey Approach, have teamed up to enable its customers to access more than 4,000 continuously monitored and updated forms with LexisSmart Forms.
The new partnership will see Osprey’s developer, independent software provider Pracctice Limited, integrate its cloud-based case management software with LexisSmart Forms.
What are LexisSmart Forms?
LexisSmart Forms provide the latest key forms that legal practitioners need, from Form E (Family) and IHT400, through to N260 and the LPA suite. They contain embedded guidance notes and court addresses, enabling firms to complete and share forms easily and efficiently.
Increasing efficiencies and productivity
Dani McCormick, Director of Solutions, LexisNexis, said: “We’re very excited about the increased efficiencies and productivity our partnership with Osprey Approach can deliver to the market.”
She highlights how “practitioners often tell us they are time poor and need to be more efficient. They fill in and amend forms regularly and it can be time-consuming.” As forms are a “critical step in the process (get them wrong and your firm’s workflow can be impacted and your firm’s reputation damaged)”, LexisSmart forms can help you gain the confidence that the right forms are being used and completed correctly.
McCormick notes that the new partnership with Osprey “enables practitioners to quickly access the forms they need within their case management system and pull in data from their client and dossier areas to ensure consistency and deliver greater, much needed, workflow efficiencies.”
Easy access to forms while working remotely
Craig Matthews, CEO of Pracctice, noted that they “identified the need for a cloud-based forms solution so that our customers are able to access them easily whilst working remotely and within our suite of mobile apps. Following months of rigorous testing, we’re really happy with the results and we’re delighted that Osprey’s customers are now able to realise the benefits of LexisSmart Forms.”
He went on to say: “We are really impressed by how easy LexisSmart Forms are to fill in, reducing easily avoidable errors. They painlessly maintain the integration of the latest forms and fields within Osprey. This makes them easy to open and complete, without the need for specialist software or training.”
