The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs has announced that the UK has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Iceland in an effort to boost co-operation on matters relating to fisheries. The MoU, which follows recent similar agreements with Norway, the Faroe Islands and Greenland is to come into effect on 1 January 2021, and was signed via video conference by Fisheries Minister, Victoria Prentis, and Icelandic Minister of Fisheries, Kristján Þór Júlíusson.
