1 July 2013 saw the introduction of minor amendments to civil court fees. For ease the schedule setting out the fees in SI 2008/1053 (otherwise known as the Civil Proceedings Fees Order 2008) is replaced in its entirety by the Civil Proceedings Fees (Amendment No 2) Order 2013 (SI 2013/1410).
The minor amendments address changes in terminology as a consequence of the Jackson reforms eg references to ‘allocation questionnaire’ are replace by ‘directions questionnaire’. Other than that the changes are focused on fees in relation to legal aid and searching bankruptcy and company records.
A track changed version of the new schedule to the SI is available to subscribers of LexisPSL. If you are not a subscriber, please click here to find out more and to access a free trial.
