Jackson Reforms: Costs Budgeting Insight Videos

Costs Budgeting is a key area of the Jackson Reforms. Here, HHJ Simon Brown QC, Mark Surguy and Martino Giaquinto provide an insight into costs budgeting. All three have been actively involved in the Birmingham costs pilot scheme and we are delighted to share these videos.

Each video focuses on a different area of key preparation including co-operation with the other side prior to the CMC (and what happens if you fail to prepare), types of client discussion that should take place prior to the CMC and how the court deals with costs budgeting when the parties have co-operated and sought to agree aspects of the proceedings.
