Welsh Government announces coronavirus (COVID-19) support hubs

The Welsh Government has announced the launch of coronavirus (COVID-19) hubs in North Wales. The pilot scheme, which is part of Wales’ Test Trace Protect programme, is designed to offer additional support to people that have suffered the most as a result of the pandemic and those that have been told to self-isolate. The hubs can offer lateral flow tests, as well as help to people that are having difficulty in meeting bills, accessing services or buying food.

Minister for Health and Social Services, Eluned Morgan said: ‘This pilot also demonstrates the benefits of a partnership approach which is reaching those who are often hard to reach and opening up a range of services to them to relieve worry and stress in other areas of their lives, providing much-needed support to people at an extremely difficult time’.
