Temporary planning measures are extended in Wales amid coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Welsh government has written to local planning authorities and developers to confirm the emergency coronavirus (COVID-19) measures introduced by the Planning Applications (Temporary Modifications and Disapplication) (Wales) (Coronavirus) Order 2020, SI 2020/514 will continue. The Planning Applications (Temporary Modifications and Disapplication) (No. 2) (Wales) (Coronavirus) Order 2020, SI 2020/1004 has been laid and will be in force on 18 September 2020. This order provides for the temporary amendments to the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales) Order 2012, SI 2012/801 and the Developments of National Significance (Procedure) (Wales) Order 2016, SI 2016/55 will apply to 8 January 2021.
