The Courts and Tribunals Judiciary has announced that the Civil Justice Council has published a report on the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on civil court users. The rapid expansion of the use of remote hearings is addressed in the report. In addition, the report makes a number of recommendations, including responding to concerns expressed by consultees on the consequences brought about by the current stay on housing possession claims ending. The review of the impact of coronavirus on the civil justice system was conducted with support from the Legal Education Foundation, and took place from 1 May 2020 to 15 May 2020.
