OPG (Scotland) certificates of appointment to slightly differ amid coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Office of the Public Guardian (Scotland) (OPG (Scotland)) has announced that some of its work is being adjusted in order to allow services to be maintained amid the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As some its staff are currently working from home, some of the OPG (Scotland)’s work is produced electronically, which in turn results in certificates of appointments that look different. Although the certificates will not carry the red seal and are not embossed, they will nevertheless bear the watermark crest and a statement explaining the reason why the certificate looks different. OPG (Scotland) also notes that guardians and withdrawers will be required to print the certificate in order to act on the powers.
