Office of the Public Guardian updates guidance for professional deputies amid coronavirus (COVID-19)

Office of the Public Guardian has confirmed that professional deputies who are appointed by the Court of Protection will continue in their role during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Professional deputies are only classed as key workers when they are actively supporting the person they are deputy for, namely making decisions on behalf of the person who lacks mental capacity or attending court.
