London Trading Standards to help enforce business closures and restrictions

London Trading Standards (LTS) has announced their role in enforcing compulsory business closures and restrictions along with local authorities and the police as part of tackling coronavirus (COVID-19). The rules and restrictions were introduced by The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020, which came into force on 26 March. Breaching the regulations is an offence, which can result in prohibition notices being issued and can result in a fixed penalty notice, prosecution or a fine.
