The guidance builds on the CLC ‘COVID-19 Contractual Best Practice Guidance’ published in May 2020. The newly issued guidance includes template provisions for use in the JCT Design & Build Contract 2016 and the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract to deal with the impact of coronavirus and other pandemics—providing for extensions of time, reimbursement of loss and expense and/or the right to terminate. The CLC has also published guidance on record keeping.
