European Parliament warns against coronavirus (COVID-19) cyber-attacks

The European Parliament has published recommendations for people to protect themselves better against coronavirus (COVID-19) cyber-attacks. During the coronavirus pandemic, cybercriminals are exploiting unsafe online behaviour, notably by sending fake messages driving to malicious websites, asking for logins and passwords or giving information about non-existent package deliveries. Everyone, but particularly people working from home, should be cautious with unsolicited emails, secure their home network, strengthen their passwords, protect their equipment with updated antivirus software and don’t let family and guests use their work devices.
