Coronavirus (COVID-19)—Mayor of London announces plan to help London recover

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has revealed his plans to encourage domestic tourism to London. The campaign, called Let's Do London, aims to help the recovery of London’s economy post-coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdowns and restrictions. The strategy has been finalised in collaboration with London’s retail, hospitality and culture sectors. It will include one-off events, art installations, ‘London Lates’ that will see museums, music venues and galleries stay open longer than normal trading hours, and transformations to road crossings and street furniture. Khan has said further announcements can be expected as the year continues.

Speaking about Let's Do London, Khan said it will be ‘the biggest domestic tourism campaign London has ever seen to champion our businesses, cultural institutions and attractions that have suffered so much during the pandemic. This is about getting the message out to Londoners and people across the country that our capital stands ready to entertain, inspire and enthral once again.’
