Coronavirus (COVID-19)—Home Office updates international arrivals guidance

The Home Office has updated its guidance webpage 'Coronavirus (COVID-19): advice for UK visa applicants and temporary UK residents' in relation to international arrivals and travel. It confirms that from 17 May 2021, individuals will be subject to different requirements (in relation to testing and self-isolation) and this will depend on whether they are arriving from a 'green', 'amber' or 'red' list country.  ​

The guidance states that individuals arriving from a country that is on the:

• green list must take a coronavirus test on day two

• amber list must self-isolate at their ​​residence, and take a coronavirus test on day two and day eight

• red list must self-isolate at a hotel (with limited exceptions on medical and compassionate grounds), and take a coronavirus test on day two and day eight
