Coronavirus (COVID-19)—Scottish court users to wear face coverings

The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (SCTS) has announced that from 31 August 2020, all court and tribunal users will be asked to wear a face covering in public areas of court buildings. All those using the premises should continue to maintain 2 m physical distancing. Those exempt from wearing face coverings in other locations under government guidance will not be required to wear face coverings in SCTS premises. Face coverings can be removed, if desired, in the courtroom or hearing room and staff may remove face coverings in office spaces where physical distancing measures are in place.
