Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidance published on minimising B2B contract disputes

The Construction Leadership Council (CLC) has published guidance for companies involved in the construction supply chain on how to minimise disputes relating to Business to Business (B2B) contracts that have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The CLC guidance supports the UK government guidance, which sets out the government’s expectations of businesses, as they manage and enforce B2B contracts during the pandemic.

The CLC guidance can be read here, and includes:

• precedent 'dialogue letters'

• responses to be given under the JCT Design and Build Contract 2016

• responses to be given under the NEC3/4 Engineering and Construction Contract

The government guidance can be accessed here.
