Coronavirus (COVID-19)—further easing of restrictions in Leicester

The Department of Health and Social Care has announced that establishments, such as nail bars, tattoo parlours and outdoor pools, can reopen in Leicester from 19 August 2020 following a local lockdown due to a spike in coronavirus (COVID-19) cases. In addition, those shielding in Leicester can now meet outdoors in a group of up to six people, including those from different households. However, restrictions on gatherings in private homes and gardens remain in place and the easing of restrictions across England announced on 15 August 2020 will not apply in Leicester.

The 'Leicester lockdown: what you can and cannot do' guidance has been updated accordingly.
