Coronavirus (COVID-19)—Consultation on remote hearings open until 15 May

The Civil Justice Council has commissioned an independent review to understand the impact measures introduced due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic are having on the justice system. It will concentrate on the experience and reaction of court users. The information received will be used to inform or amend additional guidance. The review will run from 1 May 2020 to 15 May 2020 in order to report by 22 May 2020.

The review is seeking answers on what is working well in the current arrangements, whether certain cases are more suited to remote hearings and how different stakeholders feel about the arrangements.

There are three ways to get involved:

• if you or your organisation have published any relevant material (guidance, blog posts, opinion pieces), or if you have findings from a survey you would be happy to share, email: data-sf-ec-immutable="">

• complete the survey on the experience of remote hearings if you have participated in, or observed, a remote hearing since 19 March

• join the remote consultation meeting on 11 May 2020. Further information will be issued in due course

• if you have any other feedback you would like to raise, email: data-sf-ec-immutable="">
