The Association of British Insurers (ABI) and the Association of Consumer Support Organisations (ACSO) have agreed that the Statement of Intent for progressing claims during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic will be extended until 17 August 2020. ABI and ACSO announced that they will undertake a joint review of the Statement of Intent during the week commencing 17 August 2020 with any amendments to be published by 21 August 2020.
The temporary measures contained within this statement will be explored at least every three weeks until the end of both the coronavirus pandemic and the accompanying social-distancing measures, which prevent the ordinary working practices in the context of the civil claims process. The temporary measures will stop when either party informs the other.
Free trials are only available to individuals based in the UK
